AUGUST

Shipping Shop

I really didn't manage to get much painting done this month. Fulfillments from FOS and the events over the past couple of months have completely taken over, with multiple vans hired for UK deliveries, travelling everywhere from Newcastle to Cornwall.

On top of this, I have also been working on the construction of a brand new studio. I can't show much at the moment, but I will soon.

In the last week of the month, I also began working on a new painting in time for Goodwood Revival, featuring Oscar Piastri's first-ever race win. This piece took further inspiration from the abstract nature of Mansell X Senna earlier this year.

JULY

Mid year madness

This month has been a particularly crazy one, filled with exciting opportunities such as painting at the Sail GP in both their premium waterfront and adrenaline lounge.

I also had the pleasure of working with Ducati in Hailsham, live painting Carl Fogarty on his 1999 championship-winning bike. Made even more brilliant, having both the bike and Carl there to sign the painting.

The Mansell X Senna painting was also a big hit at FOS 2025. Where you may have seen me out in the sunshine, live painting it. The vibrant colours really drew a crowd, and it was great to chat to everyone over the event.

JUNE

Brighton beach and a new concept on the horizon

Over a hot day in Brighton, I had the incredible opportunity to work with Maeving on a brand new painting of their RM1S bike. Spending the day live painting around the display of the bikes was particularly special.

It was soon after this that I began working on a great concept for a very special piece I'd wanted to paint of Senna and Mansell at the 1991 Silverstone Grand Prix. Now this was an idea I'd had for many years, but the concept and piece had never quite fit.

Alas, the idea was there, and the canvas had arrived.

MAY

An automotive concept

In May I started work on automotive painting of an Aston Martin Vantage, I took a lot of time experimenting with the style on this one.

The concept I was working with was to integrate contoured abstract motion through the piece, evoking motion through their colour and shape.

I'm sure this concept will continue in my work; I'm always open to adapting my work into new directions, and the use of abstract shapes to do so fascinates me.

APRIL

A new small series

I spent the month working on Red Bull Series 1. This was a small set of 30x30cm paintings, geared toward the team and the drivers.

I'd had the idea last month and wanted to create a new collection.

I plan to revisit these later in the year. With additions to other teams, let me know what you'd like to see.

MARCH

Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso 2023 is finished. This big 120x120cm painting took a lot of work to make. The beautiful Aston Martin-inspired greens contrasted perfectly with the Neon accents.

Now that this painting is complete, it's time for scanning and printing. This is an important process to make sure that the original is properly represented in reproductions.

FEBRUARY

A needed break away

Every year, I try to get away for a family ski trip; it's always a really important time to reset and take myself away from the studio.

I couldn't find a picture of myself on the slope, as I was the one taking all the pictures.

Shortly after I began working on a brand new 120 x 120 cm piece featuring Fernando Alonso in his 2023 Aston Martin F1 car at the Miami GP, a race that marked one of his podiums that year.

I wanted to really lean into the colours of the team and the livery, so I experimented with a range of deep greens for the piece concept.

JANUARY

Happy New Year

The end of last year saw the beginning of a new chapter in my life, Katie and I got married, we had a wonderful winter wedding followed by a short honeymoon away.

We also had the first event of the year, Autosport international, featuring Oliver Bearman and David Croft. This event was day one working on the latest driver portrait featuring Carlos Sainz for Ferrari in 2024.
